Old fashioned soap with modern flair!

A little history...I started making soap about 15 years ago after I became interested in 'old ways'; quilting, soap making, candles, homesteading and the like.  I have tried many recipes and finally created what I believe is the best soap I can make. My soap is made with pure vegetable oils and then I vary each recipe by adding any combination of rich butters, herbs, clays, milk powders, fragrance and essential oils, glitter and mica powders.  Sometimes I will use a oxide colorant but I try to keep that to a minimum. 

A little bit about our old-fashioned soap with a modern flair.   Our soap is called cold process soap because during a four week cure time (that's the cold process part) the magical process of saponification takes place.  The magic is turning vegetable oils, water, etc. are turned into a fabulous soap that is rich, creamy and moisturizing.  Another great thing happens during this process, glycerin is created.  Glycerin is a humectant which helps hold moisture to your skin, therefore you feel soft and smooth all day long.  I use my soap on my face and body every single day without issue.  So not only are you using something fabulous you are also holding a little piece of magic!  Ok, it's really not magic but I am totally amazed by the process.  I am just as fascinated with the soapmaking process today, as I was 15 years ago. 

So give our soap a try, I truly believe you will be thrilled with our soap.  Our soap cleans well, without drying or leaving a residue and our soap has a full rich creamy lather that will leave you feeling soft and moisturized all day long.  And finally, it is a little luxury that is still affordable and I plan on keeping it that way.
